Lube your lug nuts! Keeping the lug nuts on your tires lubricated properly is an extremely important preventative measure. If they are not kept lubricated, it is very likely they will begin to corrode and seize up. Repairing them can be quite a costly venture, while a quality lubricant is only a fraction of the price
Driving on worn tires can be extremely dangerous, and even more so if you live in an area with a lot of rain or snow. New tires can be outlandishly expensive, though, and what if you are strapped for cash or don’t plan on having the car much longer? Don’t just ignore the problem and put yourself in danger; buy used tires! Slightly worn tires are much better than completely worn ones
As long as your tires have been kept at proper inflation levels, uneven wear can indicate that a realignment is in order, brakes or shocks not working correctly, a bent wheel, internal tire damage, or worn bushings. Rotating your tires can also help minimize wear and allow all of your tires to wear evenly. Refer to your owner’s manual for the proper rotation periods and patterns
A lot of the time, you can identify a brake problem by sound. If your brakes start squealing, grinding, or generally making any strange noises; go get them checked as soon as possible. This can be an early sign that they are deteriorating, and brakes are one issue that you do not want to put off
